Lifestyle family sessions have a special place in my heart. It’s always been so important to me to document families in real time, exactly how they are now. Through the phases that kiddos go through, to the activities that families enjoy doing together, it’s my job to portray the love of a family in the realest way possible.

I first met Liz through an online mom group and we instantly connected! I was super excited to meet her and her family in person while I was visiting the Atlanta, Georgia area. When Liz filled out my online questionnaire, she noted how her family is pretty low-key and that they enjoy doing seasonal activities in their local area. She also noted how much they love playing outside together and spending time with their two cats. Liz described her family as intentional, and I couldn’t agree more.

We listened to Taylor Swift on vinyl, had a mini dance party, and twirled around the living room in delight and wonder. The kids showed off their artwork on the walls and proceeded to snuggle the cat on the couch. Eventually, we made our way outside where the kids ran around and played until they couldn’t play anymore.

This is why I love lifestyle family sessions! Kids are free to be themselves, and I am free to sit back and let their playful sides shine through! Sessions like these are the perfect reminder of how families share their everyday lives together. Instead of overly posed, forced images, you end up with playful, fun images that showcase the love that a family has for each other.
