When Julia and Connor first reached out to me about their decision to elope, the two weren’t entirely sure of the location, but they knew they wanted it to be unique. And what’s more unique of a setting than that of the architecture of the Beverly Hills Civic Center paired with the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles?
Since the couple opted for a May 4th wedding, they knew that Star Wars would play a large role in their day. So, the couple decided to let Connor’s brother officiate while their closest friends and family joined them in celebration. The funniest part? Julia left her ID in the hotel, so they couldn’t legally get married that day. Connor teased her for it, saying how it was the most Julia thing for her to do on their wedding day. The best part about all of that is now they have two anniversaries - May 4th when they had their ceremony - and Cinco de Mayo - when they actually filed their marriage license and made things legal!
I remember being so ecstatic when Julia and Connor reached out to me. I first met Julia through a mutual friend/client of mine in Georgia. I instantly picked up on the couple’s electric connection and their bubbly personalities! I knew that capturing them laughing and having fun was a top priority for them, so I made sure to give them prompts during their couple’s photos that really showed off their fun sides!
We ended up having the most amazing time together, laughing and frolicking our way around Beverly Hills and LA. I truly feel that their photos are a perfect reflection of their fun nature and the love they have for each other.

As you can see, hanging out with Connor and Julia at their Beverly Hills/Los Angeles elopement was so much fun from start to finish! We had the opportunity to explore parts of LA from such an incredible view and take photos among some of the coolest architecture in Beverly Hills. Connor and Julia pulled out all the stops on their day, from Julia’s stunning dress to the coolest sunglasses that really added to the urban aesthetic.
I definitely feel like there’s an increase in couples who are choosing to adventure to more than one location for their elopement day, which I think is a fabulous idea!
