Rodriguez Family | Georgia Photography Session

Family Photoshoot Inspiration // Georgia Photoshoot
I had the honor of traveling to Georgia awhile back to photograph the Rodriguez Family. Sherry and I went to college together throughout undergrad and graduate school, which made their session all the more special.
During the height of covid, the Rodriguez Family welcomed their sweet baby girl into the world. Since things were so hectic at that time, Sherry knew that family photos would have to be put on hold until further notice.
Fast forward to 11 months later and we were finally able to make their session happen! The Rodriguez Family specifically requested candid shots with their new addition, and I think it’s safe to say that we nailed it.
One of my favorite things about family sessions is getting to work with littles. I love seeing their personalities shine through, and I always make it my goal to make the session as comfortable as possible for them. It’s super important to me for the family to not only receive a great product but to also have tons of fun at their session. I always want my families to leave wanting more time with me!
You may have heard me talk about this in other blog posts, but one way that I get to know my families and what they’re looking for from their session is to send over a questionnaire well beforehand. Since no two families are exactly the same, no two family sessions should be the same either! By answering the questions on the questionnaire, I am able to curate an experience that’s unique to the people I’m working with.
Family photography holds a very special place in my heart, especially when the people involved are old friends.

Family photoshoots are some of my absolute favorite types of sessions to capture. I love stepping back to give the family space to explore their surroundings and be present with one another. It was such a joy to work with the Rodriguez family in Georgia, and I am already counting the days until our paths cross again!
